When contacting the District Attorney’s Office, please keep in mind that the District Attorney and his Assistant District Attorneys have special obligations as attorneys and, more specifically, as prosecutors. They must abide by the North Carolina State Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct, which limit the information that can be shared with the public during the investigation or prosecution of a case. For more information, please consult the North Carolina State Bar and Rules 3.6 and 3.8 of the State Bar’s Rules of Professional Conduct.

The Clerk of Superior Court maintains all official court files. For information regarding those files or to access those files, please contact the Clerk’s Office. For requests to photograph or film court proceedings, please contact the Trial Court Administrator’s Office.
